Two fishermen have been rescued in Kiribati and Papua New Guinea after spending 41 days at sea. In separate incidents, seven fishermen remain missing, with Navy search operations underway. The rescues come after Kiribati fishermen found a man alone, dehydrated, and lost at sea. Papua New Guinea also reported the rescue of a fisherman after 41 days, and a youth was rescued in Kiribati under similar circumstances. The missing fishermen's cases are ongoing. The rescues highlight the danger of the open sea, and the courage of those who endure such hardships. The unaccounted fishermen's cases underscore the need of ongoing search operations and efforts among local authorities.
